Gnu Chromatic 2023

The 2023 Gnu Chromatic will give you a new outlook on snowboarding as you fast forward your progression on this easy riding, playful board that encourages fun all over the mountain. The easy to ride softer flex pattern with the Original Banana contour and Magnetraction edge hold gives a responsive ride without over-the-top catching of your edges. With the focus on all terrain freestyle and freeriding, the Chromatic can take on the entire mountain, from working on your turns on fresh groomers, slashing through pockets of powder, to hot-laps in the park. 

 

Rider Level: Beginner – Intermediate

Board Type: All Mountain Freeride

Camber Type: OB – Original Banana

Mild rocker between your feet with mild camber to the tip and tail makes this the best camber profile to progress your riding. Learn to ride on day 1or learn new tricks everyday. Holds an edge on hardpack, floats in powder, and jibs everything.

Flex: 4/10 (1=soft, 10=stiff)

Shape: Directional

This board has a pointed nose, a blunt tail, and a slight setback that provides better float when riding forwards, but can still ride switch with ease.

Core: G1 Lite Construction

A light, environmentally nice, and smooth core. Combines Aspen and Paulownia woods with Triax and Biax alloy glass for a strong, light, and poppy board.

Base: Eco-Sublimated Co-Ex

A fast, tough base that’s easy to maintain.

Mounting Pattern: 2×4 inserts

Additional Features:

Eco Sublimated Poly Top – This topsheet is made using an eco-friendly sublimation process.

UHMW Sidewalls – Tough and fast sidewalls.

Magnetraction – 7 strategically placed serrations along the edges of the board grip onto the snow and hold a strong edge in any condition.
